Thus Alexander is left behind by this king, although indeed he greatly exceeds others. And now behold, we look on the deeds of other kings and the other virtues which are considered splendid. For there are two adornments to all kings, strength and shrewd wisdom in mind, for if ever I wish to ward off shameful ruin, the one holds nothing without the other. With both of the two comes much that is profitable, but without both one would be useless.
