Come now, shall Christ give grass as recompense, not glory, honour, and everlasting life? God is accustomed to give things equally balanced to burdens, for He is just to all His own servants. And did the sceptre-bearing king not bring a like gift of honour to others so as to gain greater glory? For of all mortals who was ever yet not allotted his share of equal honour? God at any rate gives in return by the same measure, for God Himself says, by the same measure by which one measures to others must it be measured to him in return.
