So it would not be a free gift, as he was for a long time burdened, and God will give to him, bearing splendid gifts, and he will gain bliss, since he in person took care for all good things, and did not regard God as something supplementary. And he will be happy, gaining recompense and many fine things and prized gifts from Christ. He will take one reward equivalent to many others, for God measures to all by their own measure. Because of this He will at any rate grant him a prized reward in place of those things with which He burdened him in so much fine work.
